The Arizona State Board of Dental Examiners has opportunities for professionals looking to participate in its investigative process representing the public. Given that I am a former President of your organization and certified, I thought AAMSS members would be a great resource to see if any one is interested in volunteering to make a difference in the dental care in our community. When a complaint is filed and it is determined there could be merit, it is forwarded to an investigative panel composed of two dentists and a public member who hear the complainant and respondent dentist who may be represented by legal counsel. The panel determines if there is merit and makes recommendations to the Board of Directors. The interviews are conducted on Wednesday afternoons and Fridays. The time commitment is review of the cases prior and calendaring based on your schedule.
