This position is responsible for leading the overall strategy development and implementation related to the formal medical staff structure, relationships, and communication.  In addition, the position leads development and implementation of the strategy for overall physician communication.  Also, the position provides the point of coordination for relationships between Scottsdale Healthcare and the primary care physicians in the organization's service area.

Basic Education:               Related Bachelor's Degree

Basic Experience:              5 years related experience
                                        including 2 years strategic
                                        planning.

Basic Field-of-Expertise:     Knowledge of medical staff
                                         relationships and physician
                                         practice issues. Knowledge
                                         of medico-legal issues and
                                         laws, regulatory agency
                                         requirements and
                                         standards.

Director of Credentialing

We're seeking a highly motivated leader to direct the timely, efficient and complete credentialing function for the UPH Practice Plan division. You are responsible for directing all operational aspects of the credentialing staff and establishing credentialing policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory agency and payer requirements.  

Requirements include five years director level experience in health care such as clinical department operation, physician recruitment, quality management, record management or a related field.  A Bachelor's degree in management or a closely related field is required and credentialing certification is preferred.

Credentialing Supervisor

As supervisor, you will support University Physicians Healthplan vision of being the easiest, most efficient and effective plan by assuring credentialing and associated functions are performed in a timely manner and in accordance with AHCCCS and NCQA standards.

Requirements include current Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or Certified Medical Staff Coordinator (CMSC). Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or five years experience in health care credentialing also qualifies. Previous team lead or supervisory experience and working knowledge of provider contracts is preferred.
